Do not limit yourself to the ski resort Sesto/Sexten during your winter holiday at the foot of the Three Peaks! The round tour “Giro delle Cime” (Tour of the Peaks) is a must for every skier and leads across four ski resorts: Elmo/Helm, Croda Rossa/Rotwand, Passo Monte Croce/Kreuzberzg and Val Comelico.
This so-called “giro” promises an unforgettable winter experience across the Dolomites, UNESCO World Natural Heritage. Only the parametres of this ski tour are already impressive: 10,000 metres of altitude difference over 30 kilometres. Some passages of the tour can be mastered with the special ski shuttle, the so-called “salto”.
The tour starts at the valley station of the gondola car in Versciaco/Vierschach near San Candido/Innichen. Once you have reached a height of 2,200 metres, the tour takes you back downhill, from the ski area Elmo/Helm to Sesto/Sexten. Thanks to the ski connection you can continue here to the ski area Croda Rossa/Rotwand with its giant snowmen and charming reindeer family. Next stop is Passo Monte Croce/Kreuzbergpass. Here you are literally on the trails of Marc Giradelli, before it is off on skis to Val Grande and then by shuttle to the ski area Val Comelico with its varied offer.
Afterwards, the “salto” takes you via Monte Croce/Kreuzberg back to Signaue, where you can go up with the Three Peaks gondola car. Via Orto del Toro/Stiergarten you will reach the valley station of the ski area Elmo/Helm in Versciaco/Vierschach and the starting point of the tour.
By the way: You can also access this round tour from the ski area Sesto/Sexten; great news for all our guests, because Hotel Royal is located right on the slopes.
