Our cable cars take you up to the perfect places to start numerous hikes of varying degrees of difficulty. Trails lead you through soothing forests, lush meadows and across idyllic mountain pastures to distinctive mountain peaks and magnificent views of the Dolomites. The tricky part is: you have to decide on which panoramic view you want to choose!

Nearby our hotel and the Three Peaks there is a lot to discover: lakes, huts, via ferratas. What is it going to be: Monte Paterno/Paternkofel, Croda Rossa/Rotwandspitze or a little hike across Fiscalina/Fischleintal valley? We recommend you to take a hike accompanied by a professional mountain guide. At our hotel we offer our guests four guided hikes per week from June until September; this gives you plenty of opportunity to explore the Dolomites of Sesto/Sexten during a fun hike or climbing tour. Our tips for a hiking holiday in the Dolomites

Via ferratas in and around Sesto/Sexten

Highlight: Cima Grande/Große Zinne or Large Peak

Starting point: Auronzo mountain hut (road charge from Misurina Lake)
Access: Follow the trail from the Auronzo mountain hut towards Lavaredo hut until you reach the chapel; then start climbing in the gorge between Little and Large Peak; the entrance is located at the beginning of this impressive ramp.
Walking/climbing time: ¾ hours to the entrance, 3 hours to the peak, 3 hours to the starting point and back
Best time of year: from mid-June until beginning of October
Equipment/Gear: 60 m rope, a few station slings, one set of friends or cams, 5 to 6 express slings and 4 screw-lock carabiners
